I’m a home-service operator. I build and run companies that work on people’s homes: PhaseOne Remodeling and NineLine Roofing, both out of Texas. I don’t write checks and walk away. I’m in the field, on the crew schedule, answering the phone.
PhaseOne is a full-exterior remodeling company covering roofing, windows, siding, doors, insulation, solar, and gutters, built on one idea: every project is a chance to prove ourselves. NineLine Roofing is where it started. I write about what I’m learning running them.

The backstory
I don’t consider myself a guru.
I started NineLine Roofing and built it into a real operating company, then founded PhaseOne to take on the whole exterior of the home. I served in the Army as a Cavalry Scout. I’m based in Austin.
I spend my time running crews, talking to homeowners, and building companies that do what they say they will. Long hours, real operators, no theater. I’d rather show the work than talk about it.
